Quran TV began after I learned about the virtues of reciting Surah Al-Baqarah in the home. I tried using YouTube, but frequent ads interrupted the recitation, finding each Surah separately was inconvenient, and playback would often stop after a while. I made Quran TV to offer a calmer, simpler way to keep Quran recitation playing in the home, repeat Surahs without interruption, and make reading and listening easy on a phone, computer or TV.
At first, the app focused on Surah Al-Baqarah with Mishary Alafasy, continuous repeat, and a dark reading screen. Then it expanded to include the whole Quran and more reciters. As I kept developing it, the controls became easier, Arabic and English interfaces were added, prayer information became part of the display, and the layouts were adapted for phones and TVs. Fullscreen reading modes came next, followed by day and night picture backgrounds and automatic background changes. Quran TV is still growing, one useful idea at a time.
